My love of cell biology and disease processes. Classes I took as an undergrad student that held my interest were Parasitology, Pathology of Human Disease, Cell Biology and Microbiology. It was fascinating to see how each field was intertwined with the others. I remember making my own karyotype of my own white blood cells in a genetics laboratory class and I knew I was hooked!

Home remodeling. My wife and I have remodeled our home over the last 10 years, most work done ourselves. We recently finished installing hardwood floors on our own. I have four daughters, three of which are grown athletes. Much of our past 15 years were spent watching hours of their sporting events, including volleyball, basketball and track. We loved watching them develop their physical abilities and socials skills through the love of sports. My wife coached our girls throughout their high school JV basketball years.

I endeavor to play the accordion, so far quite poorly. I was competent to play two fingers only last Christmas for our family gathering. My lovely daughter accompanied me on guitar as we led family rounds singing Silent Night.
