Background
I worked in neurosurgery at Centracare in St. Cloud for seven years. Then I transitioned to Center for Pain Management for two years. The next six years, I worked in family practice in Todd and Wadena counties. I then had the opportunity to work in orthopedics, which will bring me back to TCHC. My husband, Scott, and I have three kids, Faith, Owen and Skylar. We have a farm near Clarissa with many animals.
What inspired you to get into medicine?
I wanted to help others.
Why did you choose Astera Health?
I worked there in family practice for five years, and it was a great experience. I now am able to go back working in orthopedics, which I think is an even better opportunity.
What can your patients expect when they come in for an appointment with you?
They can expect a good listener who takes the time to explain their condition so patients can make the best-informed decisions regarding their orthopedic care.
What do you enjoy most about working with orthopedics patients?
I enjoy helping my patients get back to life without pain.
What do you like to do in your downtime?
Spending time with my husband and kids. Gardening and spending time with horses in the summer. Running kids to hockey in the winter.
What is one interesting, unique or fun thing that most people may not know about you?
I am a chocoholic.
