Tri-County Health Care is a private, not-for-profit health care corporation committed to providing personalized services that improves the health of the communities we serve. An 11-member volunteer Governing Board presides over the hospital, which is accredited by the Joint Commission.
Wadena and the surrounding communities have supported Tri-County Health Care in many ways since 1925, and they are the reason for its success and strength in operations. We have grown to be the largest hospital in Todd and Wadena counties and the only one approved by The Joint Commission.
Yes, over the past 90 years of providing this care, we have seen many changes, but there is one thing that has not changed—our commitment to YOU. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your families and your well–being for over 90 years. We can't wait to see what the next 90 years will bring.
Tri-County Health Care is committed to improving the health of the communities we serve.
Our Purpose—Deliver Inspired Care.
It’s a smile, a helping hand, and a word of encouragement. It is the door man who greets you when you walk in our building, and the registration staff who does their very best to answer your questions while getting you in to your appointment quickly.
Inspired care is the nurse who makes your child feel at ease when earlier that morning they felt anything but. It is that new mom and dad being introduced to their new son or daughter for the first time. It's the cancer patient finding hope and a quiet sense of calm within our walls when receiving treatment. It's the surgeon providing you with a reassuring calm before your procedure. It's the doctor, who even at the end of the day, treats you as though you are the very first patient they have seen. It is the countless staff you don't see who continually strive each and every day to make your experience with us the very best that it can be.
Inspired care is a privilege, not a job. It is a calling that brings people and communities together to do something far greater than just help people feel better. It allows those we serve to live healthy, productive lives, to be with those who mean the most to them, and to celebrate life.
