Experience (where did you come from and years of practice)?
I graduated from PA school in May 2018, and this will be my first position as a practicing PA. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Jake, and we have a 7-year-old daughter, 4-year-old son, and added baby number three in July. I am a native of Perham.

What inspired you to get into medicine?
I have always had a special interest in medicine since I was very young. Medicine fascinated me. I was in the process of applying to medical school during my senior year of college when the love of my life proposed to me. Supporting my husband (who farms in Midwest Minnesota) and starting a family became my priorities, and a medical career was put on the back burner. I instead became a teacher and fell in love with the profession. When the opportunity came about to enter the medical field through the profession of physician assistant, my husband and family urged me to pursue this career that has never left my heart. Now, I have finished PA school and finally get to practice medicine in my home community surrounded by many amazing and supportive medical providers.

Why did you choose Tri-County Health Care?
I love the small-town feel that comes with working at TCHC. I had the opportunity to complete several of my clinical rotations at TCHC.

What do you like to do in your downtime?
I love spending time with my kids and husband, parents, siblings, and all of our extended family. I love playing games, reading, swimming, walking/jogging, and hunting.

What is an interesting, unique or fun thing that most people may not know about you?
I love all things Harry Potter, and I may still be holding out hope for receiving my letter from Hogwarts!
