Background
I’m a native of Moorhead and now reside in Staples, where I owned my own chiropractic practice for five years. My wife, Missy, works at Astera Health as a registered nurse and we have two children – Blair (4) and Paxton (2).
What inspired you to get into medicine?
I’ve always had a passion for competitive sports. When I was younger, I suffered a significant lower back injury while competing in a pole vault competition. Seeking treatment for that injury inspired me to learn the human body's inner workings, which led me to the world of chiropractic medicine.
Why did you choose Astera Health?
Astera Health has a reputation for treating its patients and employees with the utmost care. I wanted to be part of that team.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I really enjoy getting outside. I love golfing and fishing. I also focus a great deal on physical fitness and spending time with family.
What is one interesting, unique or fun thing that most people do not know about you?
I ran track and field for the University of Minnesota. I had multiple Top-3 finishes in the Big 10 Conference meet and received Division-1 All-American accolades.
