One of the great things about being in the medical and nursing field is having the chance to impact people positively. Now, as a nurse practitioner, I can expand my experience and practice in the communities Astera serves.

The everyday challenges. It is kind of like being a modern-day detective with clues and information and examining the data to come up with the best answer for the patient. I enjoy using physical tools and everything that I have learned to interpret the data and come up with a diagnosis and treatment for the patient.

Astera Health has a real family feel to it. I have developed excellent working relationships with the physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and other staff. They are very welcoming and one of the nicest groups of people I have ever met. I also want to continue to be an asset to the community I grew up in and help the people who influenced me throughout my life.

I enjoy camping with my wife. I have also started to get interested in gardening and woodworking. I like jogging and would like to get more into mountain biking.

I really enjoy trivia and other nerdy pursuits. I love learning new things and being open to the curveballs that life throws at you.
