Background
I've been married to my wife for 7 years and we have 2 boys (ages 2 and 1), and a mini bulldog.
What inspired you to get into medicine?
It came down to having an overall desire to help people and finding the best way I could do that. I had an anatomy teacher in high school who was a retired physician and working with him inspired me that medicine and surgery could be my route toward helping people.
What do you enjoy about working in the surgical field?
I enjoy taking care of a patient's problem and seeing that relief after surgery and knowing I could help them through it.
What do you want patients to know about you as a provider?
I'm here for them, whether it's before, during or after surgery. I'll always make sure we're providing the best care we can.
Why did you choose Astera Health?
I grew up in a small town and was looking for a chance to be part of one again. I like having close-knit relationships and that is what TCHC and this area offer. It's an excellent opportunity to get involved and serve the community I'm living and working in. Being here is like being home.
What do you like to do in your downtime?
I enjoy spending time with my family, lake activities, fishing, golf and remodeling homes.
