My mom is a nurse, so I was always around the nursing aspect of medicine. I love working with people, so I went into nursing. It wasn’t until I worked in the ICU, ER and recovery room up in Fargo that I realized I wanted to go into anesthesia. I love complexities of things and that drove me to pursue anesthesia and the ability to be more hands-on with procedures.

Trust. They need to trust what I say and that I will perform my job to the best of my abilities.

I spend most of my downtime following my four daughters everywhere. Two are now in college, and we still have two at home who are very busy with sports. When we aren’t attending sporting events, we love to travel. Our favorite spot is our cabin in Canada!

I played college basketball for the University of North Dakota but was also recruited by other colleges for volleyball.
